Cabo San Lucas April 2008

Leaving Mazatlan we cruised west across the Sea of Cortez to Puerto Los Cabo (a new marina) a few miles north of Cabo San Lucas.  After arriving in the marina we met John and Gaye from Washington who had been cruising for the last two years and were returning home.   John and Gaye are on Maestra a 47 foot trawler.   While in Puerto Los Cabo we rented a car and toured Cabo San Lucas and Todos Santos and the surrounding areas.

Cooper Canyon Mexico April 2008

While in Mazatlan in April we rented a car and drove north  to the town of Los Mochis, Mexico approximately 200 miles from Mazatlan.  We spent the night in Los Mochis, left our rental car there, and took a taxi to El Fuerte where we met up with friends, Harold and Carolyn, from Denver, Colorado.  We left the next day for a four day train trip through  the Copper Canyon.  The railway was completed in 1961 after 90 years of construction.

Bahia de Navidad is a first class resort that we stayed at in Mexico.  We spent two weeks just relaxing at the marina/resort.  From Bahia de Navidad we went to Puerto Vallarta were we met up with friends from New Hampshire and Florida and family from Colorado.  We stayed in Paradise Village Marina for a month.  It was great just spending our days at the beach and at night sampling all the wonderful restaurants.
